Iceclaw

Iceclaw is a Melbourne based experimental, sensory inciting duo formed in 2011. Their sonic exploration uses a multiplicity of instruments from guitars to electronics to vocal layering. Iceclaw emphasises the unconscious process of composition that is behind their seemingly random works. Unfiltered in their references to impermanence, Iceclaw reveal a matrix of illusion and disillusion. These evocative dichotomies are what makes this duo suited to the objectives of The Unconformity.

For this performance, Iceclaw interrogates abstract and discombobulated scenery, using costumes, camouflage, light and sound to create a dystopian meditative environment. Initially unambiguous sonic motifs, dissociated from their original meaning, are deconstructed and disseminate endlessly. Form and content merge: the result - a supraliminal audio/visual experience.
