Support Programs

Queenstown and Mt Owen

The Unconformity invests in regional projects within the tourism, arts and cultural development, and education sectors that sit outside of the biennial festival.

West Coast Artist Commission

Through the support of Arts Tasmania, the Unconformity is offering one $5000 acquisitive commission for one West Coast artist in 2018. It is intended that the West Coast Artist Commission is on-going and in 2018 will be open to 2D art works including painting, works on paper, prints or photography. The commissioned work should have a conceptual connection to the West Coast and be a new and significant work for the artist.

An information sheet and proposal form can be downloaded here.

Proposals and support material are due by email by midnight, or posted by 5:00pm, on Friday 6 July 2018.

West Coast Artist Seed Funding Program

Through the support of Arts Tasmania, the Unconformity is providing a pool of $5,000 towards local West Coast artists and arts practitioners for development activities or infrastructure.

This fund is to seed the development of local artists, practitioners and groups. Outcomes may include things like travel to attend master classes or exhibitions, skills development, mentoring, small items for infrastructure, or equipment.

Individuals or groups can apply for funds up to $1,250.

An information sheet and application form can be downloaded here.

Applications are due by email by midnight, or posted by 5:00pm, on Friday 6 July 2018.
